Disney Theme Parks & Water Parks – Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

Why have you updated your rules and policies?

A.

These updates are intended to provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone who visits by, among other things, easing guest flow and reducing congestion.

What is changing?
For a complete list of property rules, please visit Disneyworld.com/rules.

Key policy changes, which are designed to, among other things, help improve guest flow, ease congestion and make the park experience more enjoyable for everyone who visits include:

  • Smoking areas will no longer be present in our domestic theme parks, water parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Guests may use designated smoking areas outside of the parks, at Disney Resort hotels and at Disney Springs.
  • Strollers must be 31” (79cm) wide and 52” (132cm) long or smaller.
  • As a reminder, wagons are not permitted in our parks. Stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted.
  • Loose and dry ice is not permitted in our parks. Reusable ice packs are recommended.

Why is smoking no longer allowed at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex?
Walt Disney World Resort makes updates from time to time and the removal of smoking areas is intended to provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone who visits.

Are electronic cigarettes and vaping permitted at Walt Disney World Resort?
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas.

Where can guests smoke?
Guests may smoke in designated areas located outside the park entry points and in specified areas at Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.

Why are you reducing the size of strollers and prohibiting wagons in your theme parks and water parks?
Walt Disney World Resort makes updates from time to time, and the reduction of stroller sizes is intended to ease guest flow and reduce congestion, making the park experience more enjoyable for everyone who visits. Many strollers, including many double jogging strollers, fit within these guidelines.

Are stroller-wagons permitted?
Stroller wagons, whether pushed or pulled, will not be permitted at any theme park or water park or at indoor venues at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

What if my stroller is larger than the size allowed?
Strollers are available for rent at the parks. Guests who have additional questions on the stroller policy may visit Guest Relations for more information.

How do I ensure my stroller falls within the size guidelines?
Strollers should be no larger than 31” (79 cm) wide and 52” (132cm) long when measured across the widest and longest points.

Why is loose or dry ice not permitted in your parks?
In order to improve guest flow, ease congestion and streamline the bag-check and entry processes, loose and dry ice is not permitted. Reusable ice packs are recommended.

What happens if I need ice for baby food, medicine, or some other item?
Reusable ice packs are recommended. Cups of ice are available at no charge at Food & Beverage locations.
