What happens if I don’t customize my MagicBand?

Please note: As a result of the COVID-19 impact, FastPass+ service must be suspended for the time being, as we plan to use additional queue space to manage capacity at our attractions and maintain physical distancing.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel with an arrival date through December 31, 2020 and you don't customize a MagicBand with your name and favorite color within 6 days of your visit, you will be provided with a non-customized MagicBand or card when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel.

Starting in 2021, we plan to unveil an innovative new offering as part of the My Disney Experience app that will bring features of a MagicBand to your smart devices. With this new offering, MagicBands will no longer be provided on a complimentary basis with new Disney Resort hotel reservations for Guests with arrivals beginning Jan. 1, 2021 and beyond.

Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels with an arrival date through December 31, 2020 will receive complimentary MagicBands.

A MagicBand or card both allow you to enter the parks, unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise. Plus, your MagicBand or card gives you FastPass+ access to all the experiences you’ve selected, so you can simply concentrate on enjoying the fun with the people you care about.

Customizing your MagicBand is fun and easy, plus it’s a great way to differentiate your MagicBand from other members of your travel party. You may also like to know that the printed name appears on the inside of the MagicBand for your privacy.

Valid theme park admission is required to use FastPass+ service.
